Da Luca Primitivo Merlot is a gutsy and robust southern Italian red where the combination of local Primitivo and international Merlot grape varieties has made a generous but obviously Italian wine. It is a great food wine as the firm finish means that it complements full-flavoured meat dishes, as well as tomato-based sauces.
